A photographer was assigned to take pictures of an intense forest fire for his publisher’s latest photo book. He was instructed that a small plane would be waiting to fly him over the fire for some aerial shots.
The photographer arrived at the airport, and saw a small Cessna airplane idling near the runway. He grabbed his cameras, jumped in, and shouted, “Let’s take off!” The man sitting in the pilot’s seat turned the plane into the wind, and soon they were in the air, bouncing around in the fire’s turbulence.
“Fly over the fire close to that ridge,” said the photographer, “and make several low-level passes.”
“Why?” asked the pilot.
“Because I”m going to take pictures!” yelled the photographer. “I’m a photographer! I’m here to take pictures of the fire!”
The pilot replied, “You mean you’re not the flight instructor?!?”
